Many years ago during a trip in Norway I wrote something that still holds true to me. It is about the past that changes in our minds over time and how we reflect on it later in our lives, making it less static as we might think it is. And it is about our still flexible future. Here it is:
"I know a story in which was made clear that there is only now.
The past will change every time you think of it and relive it. It will mould itself into new thoughts, into new 'transformed' images, into new experienced memories. Every time there will be something different, something changing.
There is no presumed future, the future is open and clear. The future can go in extended and unexpected ways. Each path will be different and you can not know which path will be yours.
You only have now, THIS moment. Around this moment, everything will transform again, and again, and again."

In the attached photograph you see bright blue glacier ice. It holds a lot of water tight in its composition, which transforms over time in the flow of glacier shifting, while still preserving its memories in ancient ice. At least for now, un till it melts down completely to be transformed in a flowing stream of water again, facing ahead a new unknown future.
