Flashback: Oyster catcher in the book KOEKOEK! Delta vol leven

In September 2015 the book "KOEKOEK! Delta vol leven" was published by Edo van Uchelen, a biologist and nature photographer of the Netherlands. The book is part of the project of the movie "HOLLAND - Natuur in de Delta". Van Uchelen explains a lot about the nature in the Netherlands, from indigenous species to invasive species and how they survive, about symbiotic relationships and the interaction with the habitat they live in.

Van Uchelen worked together with a lot of nature photographers, who voluntarily delivered photographic work for the book. One of my photographs was used in the section about the white-tailed eagle in the delta: a photograph of oyster catchers taking wing on the mudflats of the Wadden, alarmed by the presence of a predator.
