The world has changed... our perspective has changed greatly... Life evolves around fitness, strengths and in helping each other. Pandemic world... do we turn back to how life was? Or do we adapt to how life will be?
In wildlife photography there never has been a question about the value of nature. Even if I look at the ethics of 17 years ago, it is instantly clear that the Earth is more than "only meant for humanity".
"Photographers see nature in its purest form and face it with an open mind. The result is also a warning: the loss of a part damages the whole. The photos are more than just an invitation to cuddle or flinch, they may be an incentive to take the management of our planet seriously."
Bill Allen, in National Geographic - The best 100 photos. Collectors Edition. Translated to English from the edition Nederland•België (2003)
Treasure the Earth for all life at stake. Though it is not always easy to capture this emotion or viewpoint in photographs: it is more like all these photographs together capture the wonderous nature of life on our dear Planet, even if it is only a glimpse of ALL that is out there! And WHY we should not only benefit from it (or to the point of destruction of it!), but protect it as being a part of it, OUR heart and OUR lungs. Our very basic life energy.
I am proud of being a part of the community to show the greatness of all that Earth has to offer. Now in August, I expanded my Fine-art Print Collection to let even more people enjoy the treats life has in store for us! If you are inquistive, please go to the link https://www.orbica.nl/fine-art-shop/fine-art-print-collection/. There is a special offer for a package deal till August 31st, 2020. But besides all that, enjoy! Life is not as obvious as we might think it is! Part of a whole as humanity, not in control, but as an honorable guest. I truly believe that.
